Based in California, he creates immersive experiences and tools for art.  He is pursuing a Master of Science in Media Arts and Technology at UCSB, where he researches digital signal processing for immersive media.

Lucian is currently working on spatial audio decoding, procedural audio-reactive graphics tools, and ultrasound experiments.

Aside from research, Lucian composes granular chamber music and records art-rock.  His newest piece, spinning through soft light, is an immersive album of granular chamber music that debuted in the AlloSphere.

Other recent music projects include Suite for Drowning, an hour-long electroacoustic chamber concert album (2024), and Riparian Forms, an album of avant-garde soundscape ecology chamber music. Riparian Forms sonified remote locations along the California Coast as part of a UC research grant.
